Balloons!

Ever since forever, I have had a fascination with hot air balloons. My dad used to help a few pilots when my sister and I were very little. We would do private flights and rallies. So every year I try to make it to the last rally in the state. It is a free event and ever so beautiful. Yesterday, B and I got up at 4:30, left the house at 4:45- to be at the field for 5:45. There were already tons of people and a few balloons setting up!

We got recruited to help crew, that's B.

The people we helped asked if anyone wanted to fly free. Here is my dad, taking his first flight in several years!

I highly recommend for anyone to go see some balloons!

4 weeks

I am going to try to do a weekly update with pictures! According to a few tickers my 'week' changes on Wednesday (we will know more when we get to the DR) so I will try to make Wed the day- from here on out.

How far Along: 4 weeks 1 day

Weight Gain/Loss: First weight taken today- 132lbs
Symptoms: Still a little crampy, boobs are heavy and sore (hurts to be in a bra, hurts to take it off), just a little nauseous
Clothes: still fitting fine and hope this will be the case for a while! I did get a shirt to use for my weekly picture
Sleep: better than last week- I am still getting up early and having pretty vivid dreams
Cravings: none- I have no desire to eat but food does ease my queasy stomach
Movement: it will be a while before I feel movement, but really looking forward to it!
Exercise: started a regiment today.... going to try to get in 30 minutes of paced walking (horray basement treadmill) at least 4 times a week. Also starting an exercise money jar. For each 30 minutes I do- $1 will go in the jar, if I do 4 times a week $5 for the week instead.  After 37 weeks, I should have a good chunk of change. I will figure out what to do with it when the time comes!
What I Miss: A drink with friends. I am not a big drinker but the one here and there is going to be really missed..... fall beer is out, someone mentioned Blue Moon making a pumpkin beer and I might just have to buy a 6 pack to save! Thankfully, I think I will be able to avoid friends (and even family)  for a bit so not drinking with B will be easy.
Moment of the Week: Taking that test and telling B! I've also told my sister and Adonis BUB
Looking forward to: the next 37 weeks: hearing the heartbeat, telling our family and friends, finding out the gender (when will be the opportune question), and meeting our little one!
Next Appointment: September 13th
Names: Since we have been working on this topic for quite some time we do have a few names we like: Mark, Colin, Clare Ann
Milestone:

Its Positive!

Here we are, the reason I am starting this blog, we are pregnant!

I think I knew almost right away. I had trouble sleeping shortly after ovulating. I had lots of dreams and my boobs started feeling sore and heavy.

I tested Saturday morning with a dollar store test. I thought I saw a very faint line, but convinced myself I was playing mind games.

I decided to test Sunday, but if I did not get a positive I wouldn't test until my period was late! I didn't want to test before work and have to either wake B up or hold the news!

Sunday I woke up around 6:30 and tested again using the dollar store test. I saw a slightly more pronounced line than before- and they do say a line is a line. I grabbed the other test I had- Up and Up brand and lo and behold, there it was the +!

B wanted me to come up with something creative to tell him I was knocked up! It took me a bit to come up with something. He had said that with a baby he will need a new gun to 'protect it' (ok I will I am sure need a few new pairs of shoes!) Knowing that getting the gun would be quite a challenge (I don't have a pistol permit.) Then somehow I came up with the idea of replacing his gold chain. It is frayed and he hasn't worn it for at least a year. So, I went to the mall in search of a new chain.

I woke him up around 7 with the necklace and this.

He was very confused until I told him and showed him the test!

If my calculations are correct we are due May 1, 2013.
